Tornadoes Soccer

Colben got to be one of the Captains for the game so I thought I would take some pics of him!

Colben getting ready to steal the ball away!
Yep- that's my boy, the smallest one out there- don't let it fool you though, he'll out run anyone on the field!!
Attacking the ball!!

Colben-vs-FC Dallas

I registered Colben for a FC Dallas-sponsored Skills Clinic and only the first 100 people to sign their kid up got to go--- I was so excited for him. I had signed him up for one previous to this but he couldn't go because he came with me on a last min. trip to UT so I was very happy that they did another one.
Playing a fun game to try and get everyone's ball away.
Red Light, Green Light.- Colben is awesome at that game.
It looks like Colben is about to get hit in the head but really the guy was about to give him a noogie!
dribbling skills-
he's so handsome isn't he?
Trying to score on the FC Dallas goalie!
Afterwards, they went down a line with their ball and had all the players sign it- they all commented on how cool Colben's Spiderman ball was!

I hung around after everyone had gone through the line so I could get a picture with all the players that came to help out.
It was an awesome experience that I hope Colben will remember!

An afternoon at the Rangers Game

A big group of us decided to all take our kids out of school early and go to the Rangers game. We had great seats and the weather was perfect.

My Everett Ct. Girlfriends

Birthday/Going Away Dinner for Lisa.
My friend, Lisa (one on the right in the red shirt) is moving to Scotland so we decided to go out for dinner to celebrate her birthday and also wish her well on the move. Hopefully she and her hubby will only be gone for 2 years and then come back to us!!
From left to right: Kristen, Lisa, Me, Letty and Michelle- we all live on the same street and have become great friends!

We'll miss you Lisa!!

Our Home

Our Home in Shady Shores, Texas.

Looking from the end of the driveway into the backyard.
Looking back onto the side of the house. We have a 3 car garage but yet, only 1 car fits- go figure.
The back of the house. Not a lot of stuff happens in the backyard because our lawn slopes down so much (we live on a 100 year flood plane so our lot has to be really high up which means our lawn slopes- as long as our home never floods i'm fine with that!) We also have to be really careful about all the fire ants.

The Dallas World Aquarium

I decided to take the kids to the Aquarium while Ben was out of town and it ended up being really cool- a little expensive but hey, it got us out of the house and hopefully the kids enjoyed it- I know I did. I plan on going back with Ben next time and spending more time there.

They have this long tunnel where you are surrounded by water and fish and sharks swim all around you. We were able to be there when they were getting fed and it was really cool!

Danika thought these were really pretty- she even knew they were pink!
This is looking down on the tunnel- you can see the people walking through it!
They had a special Mayan performance a couple of times during the day and they were celebrating Butterflies.
This woman did a dance and her costume made her look like a butterfly.
When they were done you could get your pic taken with them.
The turtle in back of Colben was asleep on top of another turtle.
The kids loved the giant fishes.
Colben looks like he's getting kissed!
Funky looking sea creature from Australia.
