It's official people- New Kids on the Block have reunited and as their number 1 fan I couldn't be happier!
I remember in 6th Grade they came in concert to the Marriott Center and when tickets went on sale at Smith's my mom wouldn't let me sleep overnight to get them so my sweet sisters all took turns waiting in line that night and into the morning to make sure I got tickets to see my favorite band.
I remember getting dropped off in front of the building and just being so excited to see Jordan, Jonathan, Donny, Danny and Joey in person and to hear them sing songs like Hangin' Tough, Please Don't go Girl and The Right Stuff when before the only place I could see and hear it was MTV. It was my first concert but it is one I remember the most and have the best memories of.
I think I even cried when Joey Jo sang because I swear he was singing it just for me.
It will come as no surprise that when N'Sync came to Rice Eccles Stadium, I was there on the floor singing right along!! I was probably one of the oldest people there but I had just as much fun as everyone else. I don't think I cried but i'm pretty sure that during one of their slow songs Chris Kirkpatrick looked me right in the eye while he was singing!!
I'll be forever a boy band fan!

That's right- Oct. 19th baby. I'll be singing right along with them once again but this time it'll be all new songs- I sure hope they sing some of their old stuff too!
All I need to do now is go onto Ebay and try to find a t-shirt I can wear- I already have a towel so i'll make sure to bring that but I also need some buttons!
Surprisingly enough, i'm not alone in this- i've been able to find a group of us fans that are also excited about this reunion and will be standing right next to me and we are going to have so much fun!

I hear you! They were my first concert too. Yes, I remember the Marriott Center. I cried cause it was loud and my ears hurt (I was only 8). I have seen them on the Today Show and Emily Watkins has totally been covering their every move. My mom still has all our stuff, sheets and everything!
I have always been a sucker for a boy who has musical talent, but as much as I secretly liked NKOTB, I will never be as big a fan as you! Enjoy the concert!

How funny! I remember ALL the girls in the neighborhood loving these guys!! I got a little sick of them, to be honest...but I can still sing all of their songs with you and I am OLD!!
Regan lives in Texas, too! Only abt an hour away from you guys and we are down there a few times a year, so next time I'll check ahead and see if we can visit!! I think we even stay in San Antonio sometimes with Bruce's mtgs and things. I LOVE the Riverwalk!! We stay in a hotel right on that!
Well, I'm pretty sure you'll be HANGIN' TOUGH at the concert, even if your kids say PLEASE DON'T GO, GIRL! But come on, WHATCHA GONNA DO ABOUT IT? I mean really. I REMEMBER WHEN we all helped you get tickets to the concert when you were a wee one, so I NEED YOU to sing extra loud for your sisters, especially me, because you're MY FAVORITE GIRL and you've definitely got THE RIGHT STUFF to forever be their number one fan. And I know THEY will be "... LOVING YOU FOREVER."
